Tourism close Campsite Hameau des Champs in Cormatin

Things to do in Cormatin, Burgundy

  • Château de Cormatin: The most fabulous apartment of Louis 13 (1628) preserved in France, with woodwork, fireplaces and richly painted, sculpted and gilded ceilings. 12-hectare park, flower beds, large boxwood maze, old-fashioned kitchen garden…
  • The Voie Verte: walk, cycle or rollerblade along a 135 km trail (treasure hunt downloadable from the Voie Verte app).
  • Fishing for small fish in the Grosne river
  • Estelle’s Bourgui’trott rides (from age 12): for those who love new sensations! (Spring in Cormatin, summer in Cluny)
  • The pyramid (sculptural site)
  • The craft and gourmet gallery: 800m² of exhibition space, 60 art exhibitors and 30 gourmet exhibitors
  • Les communs: a collective of 12 local ceramists
  • Chapaize : Cormatin’s neighboring village. Few villages can boast such a rich heritage of Romanesque churches. A real charm!
  • Galerie Artisanale et Gourmande: 800m2, over 100 art and gastronomy exhibitors to discover or rediscover French craftsmanship.
  • Hameau Dubœuf: Wine and vineyard park with 30,000 m² and 40 themes. Find out more: www.duboeuf.com
  • Taizé : The Taizé Community, directly accessible by the greenway (no car needed), brings together around a hundred Catholic and Protestant brothers from nearly thirty nations. Thanks to its very existence, it is a “parable of community”: a concrete sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and separated peoples. Over the years, more and more young people from every continent have come to Taizé for weeks of meetings. Church leaders also come to Taizé, and the community has welcomed Pope John Paul II.
